♥Greetings Nurses♥
Glad you are here to begin the next chapter on my journey through this great life. Nursing has officially been my gig since 1993 and it has been a great ride…. ups, downs & all arounds. The profession of nursing has taken me to great ♥ places both professionally and spiritually. I look forward to more growth every day and would be honored to have you join me. We are living and practicing nursing while the health care world seems to be disintegrating at our feet or at the very least the world is shifting energies. Nurses are doing their best to maintain the standards of care, competence and love, but it sure is hard these days. Very few of us got into the nursing profession to argue politics or to witness & be a part of a health care crisis. This is what has drawn me to build a community of nursing who seek to energize and support each other. Our loving energies will be stronger together than if we stand alone.
Let me just tell you a bit about my professional life. My love for people and healing started when I was just a little girl. My earliest memories of nursing take me back to my dolls and my Raggedy Ann chalkboard. I knew back then that my purpose in this world was to heal and teach, so…..here I am fulfilling by dreams. Yes dang it……during a pandemic ……. I am here and present and ready to make my dreams come true! WOOHOO!! I have worked in various nursing roles and have loved each one. I’ve worked as a hospital nurse on the med/surg units, critical care floors and as a shift supervisor, as a nurse educator, & in public health. Hospice and homecare have also touched my nursing career. I have great respect for the people I serve and for my colleagues in NURSING!
When I was a wee one my parents and grandparents surrounded me with unconditional love while growing up. I am lucky & honored to have been surrounded by such good souls. I have to admit to the special relationship I had with my grandmother was very influential on my life. She was a very special, dear part of my life and we had a very special relationship…..to say it bluntly….. she adored ♥ me and I adored ♥her!. Nursing was her gig too and she was a damn good one. I admired her strong, loving, brave heart & longed to be just like her. She and I had 38 years together in this world and I am eternally grateful for that time & her influences on me. As this online journey unfolds, I will share more about what I have learned from her and the many other mentors in my life. Finally and most importantly, my own inner voice and intuition encouraged me to pursue a career in nursing so that I could spread healing love to all! So again…..WOOHOO! …..Here I am listening to my soul and ready to serve the nursing profession with love ♥, inspiration & encouragement. There is a light within ourselves that we (nurses) need to nurture and by reading the LightHeartRN blog you will be well on your way, just like Florence Nightingale with her lamp. We are stronger together!!
Please join me as I begin LightHeartRN blog. Let’s make this a fun space where we can talk freely and send good vibes out into the world.
Thank you for being a part of my world and I look forward to feeling all of your positive energy.
With much love & respect-
